This limited edition of Audemars Piguet’s Reference 56175TT is the Elegant 34mm midsize version of the Royal Oak.

About this watch:

It is a rare, understated and practical watch and wear much bigger than the diameter would suggest (see the picture on a 18 cm wrist).

The steel and Tantalum case and bracelet was for Audemars Piguet the beginning of the High-Tech-material Age.

A funny fact about Tantalum is it is one of the most resistant metals in the periodic table and can be alloyed to create parts for jet engines, nuclear reactors and missiles.

More important is this watch has only small signs of use and is in very good condition. It breaths class and style and is of course perfectly finished.

The case and links are made of the durable blue-grayish tantalum, while the crown, bezel and inner links are made of the more classical stainless steel.

The example we offer is produced in ca. 1994 and wears the Audemars the ultra thin inhouse Caliber 2612 quartz with 8 jewels.

This Royal Oak was made in a limited edition of 2.000 pieces.

The so-called "Royal Oak Championship" came out when Golf player Nick Faldo won the U.S. Masters and the British Open.

The use of tantalum and stainless steel give it an unusual two-tone look, which reminds us of the legendary dark colored Royal Oak worn by Karl Lakerveld.

This all is very nicely complemented by the original grey "petit tapisserie" dial. All tritium on the dial and hands is well preserved and still intact.

For an extra minimalistic look, take note of the absence of a second hand, much like the original Royal Oak reference 5402, designed by Gerald Genta.

The watch is recently inspected by our watchmaker, the battery is replaced and it runs perfectly.

You can wear it from the office to the cocktail party, it’s got so much versatility. It suits those who like to stay under the radar without compromising on ‘high end’ quality and ‘avant garde’ metals.

The watch comes with Audemars Piguet box and Paper/booklet.

Viewings can be arranged by appointment only, in our cozy showroom surrounded by more than 70 beautiful classic cars (Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Rolls Royce, and many more) at the Cool Classic Club in Naarden, The Netherlands (15 minutes from Amsterdam).
